Roger That Branding Alert!
Over the coming weeks, we'll provide some updates on our new branding...all leading up to the launch of our new website!
First up - we're excited to unveil our new Roger That Communications logos and lettermark!
Primary Logo: Custom Lettering is inspired by and reminiscent of a retro radio logo, tying into our name. Clean mono line work feels crisp and professional, while the script is unexpected (just like the way we think). Combining curves and straight lines add stability and edge.
Secondary Logo: Reminiscent of 90’s zine culture or band posters, with a vintage-but-modern agency feel. This lockup is easier to read in tight spaces than our primary logo. It also boldly uses the whole company name for recognition. Offset boxes show we like to break the mold.
Lettermark: Made of radio and sound waves, connecting our visuals to our name and offerings: communications. The containing shape mimics the shape in the secondary logo.
When we started the creative process, our direction was to design something that was:
Vintage but modern
Bold and impactful
Edgy but professional
Thoughtful and balanced
Warm and empathetic
We also wanted to play with the communications meaning of "roger that" and have some fun with it.
And this is the result! We have to say, we love it so much! And we hope you do too.
Big shout out to the team at Offhand (formerly Green Tie Studio), a Portland-based design house. Great people doing great work!
Stay tuned for more branding updates coming soon...
Roger That!
